The valley of flowers National  Park is situated in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. You can visit there between June to September but the best time to see picturesque beauty you should go in July last to August first week.It is an integral part of Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve and have an area about 87 Sq Kms aa mentioned in Uttarakhand’s tourism official website. It was declared a national park in 1982 and UNESCO’s world heritage site in 2005. Pushpawati river flows side to the valley though you can find some water channels in the valley. It can be reached by NH58( Badrinath Highway) upto Govindghat. Then either you can walk on the feet or on shared Taxi or on your vehicle to Pulna which is 4 Kms from Govindghat. Here you can park your vehicle with a minimum parking rate. Then you have to climb 10 Kms trek to Ghangharia, from where one way goes to Valley of Flowers and other is to Hemkund Sahib. Hotels and huts are for lodging at rent. Almost every shop is here of any kind of good. Shoes and jacket etc can be at rent too.

The Opening time of the park is 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM everday..After this entry is banned. The route is paved with stone and You should cross the Jungle mostly of Himalayan Birch (भोजपत्र) and Chinaar trees.Purple and White Rhododendron can be seen in early June; as I watched. It is a rich biodiversity ecosystem with varied flora and Fauna.Pika and White throated Martin was seen too. The Snowy peaks are at above the valley. You have to cross some glaciers in the way too. Tipra glacier is at front. Below are the flowers without name as I don’t know much about its common as well as scientific name. All photos are captured by me with my camera and the fair use with credit to the photographer will be appreciated.Thanks.

NOTE: Be aware of FAKE photos of the valley, which is much lucrative in Internet.
